The mountain behind the village is a traditional grazing area with three alpine huts. Situated at the beginning of the ridge that serves as a watershed between Valcanale and the Nossana Valley, through Monte Secco, Cima del Fop, and Cima di Valmora, it culminates in Pizzo Arera (at 2512 metres above sea level).
It features steep grassy slopes on its southern side facing the Val Fontagnone, a traditional grazing area with three alpine huts, while the northern slope is much steeper and marked by numerous gullies.
